Kedai Kopi Secangkir Teko sits comfortably on Jalan Sultan in Segamat as a cafe that blends familiar coffee shop vibes with a menu that surprises with its variety and size. Unlike your typical kopitiam focused solely on quick drinks and light bites, this spot stretches the casual dining boundary with hearty Western dishes and playful local twists, making it a versatile hangout for different moods.

Locals seem to favor the cafe for both catch-ups and casual meals. The atmosphere leans toward cozy yet vibrant, with decor that invites lingering rather than rushing off. The space handles a steady stream of visitors, which can affect the consistency of service and wait times, especially on busy days, but the staff’s friendly approach keeps the mood light.

The menu caters to those who want more than just a caffeine fix. Coffee offerings such as Kopi Bancoh AIS and Romeo & Juliet Coffee AIS fit well into the Malaysian iced coffee tradition, perfect for cooling down on a humid afternoon. But the food is where Secangkir Teko really stakes its claim. From spicy Korean chicken wings and soy garlic wings to comfort options like Mac & Cheese, fish and chips, and grilled chicken served alongside fries or mashed potatoes, there’s a clear focus on generous portions and bold flavors.

Visitors who might come expecting a simple coffee break could easily find themselves staying for a full meal — the cheesy fries and the buttermilk chicken especially get nods from patrons as satisfying and worth coming back for. A few dishes vary in appeal depending on personal taste, but the majority land consistently well, making it a reliable spot for groups with different preferences.

This cafe works well for afternoons when you want a casual, unhurried vibe, and for evenings when hunger demands something more substantial than just a drink. Its pricing is accessible, making it a practical choice for students, young professionals, and families looking for a relaxed spot to settle into conversation without the formality of a restaurant.

Overall, Kedai Kopi Secangkir Teko fits into Segamat’s local scene as a meeting point that bridges coffee culture and hearty dining, combining the ease of a kopitiam with enough diversity in taste and portion size to satisfy a crowd.

For the food, everything is delicious, lots of potions and reasonable prices. An attractive environment to hang out and beautiful decorations. Service needs to be improved but the staff is very friendly.

I really enjoy the food cause it’s match with the portion. Food taste good and I really recommend you guys to try white rice with buttermilk chicken. It taste really good. But some of the food is not really my taste, it’s okay, everyone has different bud. It’s quite not consistent sometimes when there’s a lot of people on the day but overall I would say 4 out of 5.

So I came to this coffee place thinking I’d sip something artsy while pretending to read a book I never finished. Instead, I ended up in a full-blown food coma. And I have zero regrets. Started off classy with some Western food — fries so loaded with cheese and sauces, I felt like I needed to declare them at immigration. Pretty sure I consumed my entire week’s dairy intake in three bites. The fries didn’t crunch… they squished. Gloriously. Then came the spicy chicken drumlets/wings. They looked innocent enough — but plot twist: they were hell in a basket. After the first bite, my tongue filed for emergency leave. I was sweating like a student during surprise presentations. Delicious? Yes. Life-changing? Also yes. I now fear chicken. Coffee? Oh right, they serve coffee too. It was good, but by that point, I was too busy hallucinating jalapeños and googling “how to reverse spice damage” to focus. 10/10 would suffer again.

So far this is the one of the best place to eat in segamat! All the food that we ordered were amazing and delicious. Price is affordable just like the other cafes. The ambience is good. Cozy and nice. Service also quite fast. Really recommend this cafe if you’re nearby. This cafe might be my fav go-to-cafe

"Sahaja aku mengopi di sini kerana haus" Not sure about the other menu, but the garlic bread with mushroom soup was so delicious. The bread was soft and crunchy. The mushroom soup was creamy and yummy. The Roti Titab (Bread), I don't know how to describe it, my partner had it. The service is quite fast except the Roti Titab due to its preparation require the egg to be boiled first. Iwent there in the evening, parking was easy. Nice and clean place.
